Jan Troth was born and raised in Southern California, is the youngest of four girls, and has a twin who is twenty-seven minutes older. Her family moved to Chico when she was 13 years old, where she resided for 50 years. Jan came from a long line of hairstylists including her aunt, cousin, and sister who encouraged her to pursue a career in cosmetology after graduating high school. Jan and her husband, Terry have been married for 26 years. She has three children: two daughters and a son who have now given her seven grandchildren ranging from 16 months to 22 years old.

 

Jan and Terry moved to Paradise, just three years before the Camp Fire took their home. Jan and her husband had always desired to live near the ocean; having family already in Eureka made the decision to relocate an easy one. Jan has been involved with the ministry of Walk 4 Water, for the past 9 years, and also had the privilege of working on a missionary trip in Haiti. Jan loves entertaining, gardening, cooking, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Jan has owned five salons, one of which was a day spa called Mollycoddle Spa and Salon, which was her biggest accomplishment as it was voted Best Day Spa in Chico. She attributes her success to her love of people and a desire to nurture and pamper her clients. Jan has loved working in the beauty industry for over 45 years and advanced her expertise in aesthetics 25 years ago.

Jan could not be happier to be a part of Nurture Salon & Skin Care Studio's family. Lexi has been cutting and coloring Jan’s hair since she came to Eureka and enjoyed each visit to the salon. She shares and admires the passion that Rachael and her team have for helping clients feel and look their best!
